Description
EDG IncJobSummary:
The IT Internwill assist with the installation and deployment of EDG computers.
JobDuties and Responsibilities:
• Set up new hires with equipment and appropriateaccess to the company's system;
• Configure and deploy laptops for existingemployees, including system imaging and software installation;
• Provide post-deployment support to ensure asmooth transition to new devices, including troubleshooting and user assistance;
• Assist in the decommissioning and disposal ofold IT equipment and related materials;
• Minor troubleshooting skills related toequipment like printers or computers;
• Assistwith the implementations, installations, configurations, monitoring, troubleshooting and evaluation of existing and new operating systems;
• May confer with database programmers, analystsor other system administrators.
Qualifications(Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
• Currently enrolled in High school or vocational highschool program;
• Interest in pursuing opportunities to develop ITtechnical skills;
• Tech savvy with working knowledge of MicrosoftOffice applications and Windows 11;
• Basic understanding of computer systems andhardware, mobile devices and other tech products;
• Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technicalissues;
• Ability to properly manage time and handlemultiple tasks;
• Hands on technical skills;
• Proficiency in English;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Customer-oriented and cool-tempered.
WorkingConditions:
• Work is primarily conducted in an officeenvironment (Private or Semi-Private Office) but also requires occasionaltravel to off-site work locations;
• Interaction with other team members, as well assupervisors and client personnel;
• Must be able to wear safety equipment asrequired by the safety department for personal protection;
• May be required to travel out of town on aperiodic basis.
PhysicalRequirements (With or without Reasonable Accommodation):
• Must be able to lift and carry 20 pounds;
• Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing orother communication capabilities which permit employee to communicateeffectively;
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time;
• Sufficient vision or other powers of observationwhich permit employee to conduct analysis and investigations;
• Sufficient manual dexterity which permit theemployee to perform routine office duties;
• Sufficient personal mobility and physicalreflexes to perform office duties and travel when necessary to off-sitelocations.
