TECHNOLOGY Senior Software Engineer, Machine Learning Platform (San Diego, CA) Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC: Arch. & lead the dsgn of next-generation ML inference infrastructure to spprt globally distributed, multi-tenant model serving w/ high availability, scalability, & cost efficiency. Req's Master's in CS or rel. fld or equiv & 5 yrs of exp dsgn'g & deploying low-latency, high- throughput inference systs spprt'g computer vision & multimodal models incl CNNs, segmentation & object detection; bld'g large-scale distributed systs in Scala using reactive frameworks, multithreading, & Guice dependency injection; integrating enterprise feature stores to ensure consistent, low-latency feature delivery; dvlp'g ML inference srvcs w/in Bazel-based monorepos ensuring hermetic blds & seamless integration w/ secure enterprise CI/CD pipelines (Prow); extending GitHub Prow workflows by writing Golang plugins/controllers to automate reviews, enforce policies, & coord. multi-repo bld/test/deploy pipelines; util'g Pulumi to provision & mng scalable, reproducible, & cloud-agnostic inference environs; applying formal methods & computational theory to enhance scalability, reliability, & performance of distributed inference algorithms; optimizing ML algorithms in Scala, Java, & Go to improve memory efficiency, HW utilization, & runtime speed; dsgn'g advanced observability frameworks w/ distributed tracing, model drift detection, & performance analytics; & standardizing ML platform practices while mentoring engrs & aligning arch. w/ MLOps, compliance (GDPR, SOC2), & scalability standards.
