Description
Software Training Specialist w/Top Secret ClearanceA3 Consulting is looking for an experienced Software Training Specialist to support a major modernization effort for a federal defense customer. If you excel at designing and delivering multi-channel training—ranging from instructor-led sessions to digital learning assets and quick-reference guides—to drive seamless enterprise software adoption, this role is for you!
In this role you will:
- Lead the development and delivery of engaging, role-based training that prepares users to effectively adopt new system capabilities, processes, and workflows.
- Conduct training needs assessments and work with stakeholders and functional teams to identify audience-specific learning objectives, knowledge gaps, and training requirements.
- Monitor upcoming releases, sprint deliverables, and system changes to proactively assess training impacts and ensure training materials remain aligned with the current production environment.
- Develop realistic system demonstrations, exercises, scenarios, and hands-on learning activities that reflect operational workflows and user roles.
- Establish and track training effectiveness measures, including attendance, completion, learner feedback, knowledge assessments, and adoption trends, and recommend improvements based on results.
- Facilitate training content reviews and validation sessions with functional SMEs, technical teams, and Government stakeholders to ensure training accurately reflects approved system functionality and operational processes.
- Design, update, and maintain tailored curriculum, role-based training modules, user manuals, quick-reference guides, and interactive e-learning materials for a modernized case management system.
- Conduct engaging live (in-person and virtual) training sessions, classroom workshops, and train-the-trainer programs for varied user groups, from front-line end-users to system administrators.
- Collaborate closely with software developers, business analysts, and Agile teams to translate newly released features, enhancements, and system workflows into functional training assets.
- Ensure all training assets comply with federal standards, agency security protocols, and operational workflows.
- Support change management efforts by assessing user impacts and developing targeted training and communications to promote successful adoption of new system capabilities and processes.
- Support release readiness by aligning training materials, user guides, and communications with planned software releases and deployment schedules.
- Gather end-user and post-release feedback to identify training gaps, adoption challenges, system pain points, and opportunities to improve future training and release readiness.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Training and Development, Communications, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of software training, instructional design, or technical adoption experience.
- Direct experience supporting federal government agency programs (defense or intelligence community preferred) as a government contractor.
- Proven track record delivering training for enterprise software solutions, web applications, or custom-built case management systems.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills with an ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience developing instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (VILT), e-learning, user guides, job aids, and quick-reference materials.
- Experience conducting training needs assessments and developing role-based curricula.
- Experience supporting software implementations, modernization efforts, or organizational/user adoption initiatives.
- Ability to quickly learn complex technical systems and translate system functionality into understandable user-focused instruction.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum software development environments and supporting training needs associated with iterative software releases.
- Experience managing multiple training deliverables and deadlines in a fast-paced release environment.
Desired Qualifications:
