Job Title: Surgical Technician – CVOR
Location: Reno, NV
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Technologist for a travel assignment in Reno, NV. The candidate must have strong cardiovascular operating room experience and be proficient in both first and second scrub roles.
Schedule & Shift:
- Shift: Days (4x10-hour shifts, Monday–Friday; schedule determined upon arrival)
- Shift Time: 06:30 AM – 05:00 PM
- On-Call: 11 shifts per month (including nights and weekends)
Requirements:
- Must reside 100+ miles from facility
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
- NBSTSA certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2+ years of CVOR experience
- Experience as First Scrub & Second Scrub required
- Travel experience required
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain sterile field for cardiovascular surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during procedures as first and second scrub
- Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Anticipate surgeon needs during operations
- Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergency procedures
